Where does the market value come from?
It’s a Suggested Market Value blended from recent sales data, shown with a confidence read so you can see how much data stands behind it. It’s an estimate — not a guarantee of value or an offer to buy or sell.
Which slabs can it read?
PSA and CGC labels, straight from the camera. Sealed product — booster boxes and the like — scans by barcode too; that’s in early beta, so it may not match every product yet.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every account gets Pro free while we’re in early access — no invite and no card. Paid plans come later, and until billing opens there is nothing to pay.
Does Card Comp handle payments?
No. Card Comp records deals and opens a prefilled link to your own payment app. It never processes, holds or transmits money.
Are my camera images uploaded?
No. Camera frames are read on your phone for label text and barcodes, and are never uploaded or stored. See the privacy policy for everything we do keep.
Is Card Comp affiliated with PSA, CGC or any grading company?
No. Card Comp is an independent product. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by PSA, CGC or any other grading company, card publisher, marketplace or payment app. It reads the label on a slab the same way you would.
Is there an Android app?
Coming soon. Before it reaches Google Play we’re running a beta — email us with the Google account on your phone and we’ll add you. In the meantime, everything except scanning works at app.cardcomp.app.
Can I use it on a computer?
Yes — create your account and browse your collections, lists and price history at app.cardcomp.app. Scanning needs the phone app, since that’s where the camera is.
